It can be mixed with a variety of gels and glazes for different effects. Transparent watercolors are another favorite, and she does portrait and botanical paintings in watercolor, enjoying the way it can capture light She also loves pen and ink, finding it delightful when combined with watercolor, especially in illustrative type works, or ACEO cards. Gretchen also dabbles with charcoal, clay, pastels, digital photography, painted fabrics and graphic art.
